Addictions revolve around the first feelings of euphoria one gets
from taking a substance into thier body. That is the bottom line,
and many do not want to give up this feeling. Even though the after-effects are devastating.

Honestly, I don't know why people drink. It seems kind of dumb to me, if you don't do it responsibly. A friend of mine told me it helps take the edge off when their stressed or something, and they drink as a way of coping.

Other people that drink for the hell of it just to get wasted, which I think is pointless and stupid.

nothing. It might make you feel invisible at the moment but after enough of it you could get sick and have a hang over the next morning. not only that, but most people get in fights or wrecks while being under the influence. Not to mention people go home with people they normally wouldn't have and could possibly get diseases they can't get rid of. So if its to fit in, it isn't worth risking your health. O yeah, enough of it causes serosis of the liver. I have a friend that drinks so much that you can smell the alcohol when you walkin a room with them. It comes through his pores and it is gross.

In moderation (read: MODERATION), it lowers the blood pressure, keeps the arteries flowing and relaxes. In excess, not so good.
