I got permanent marker on my wooden kitchen table. Is there anything I can use to get it off that won't damage the table's finish?

My 6 year old grandson used a thick black sharpie permanent marker on his bedroom door and we got it off with Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser. It didn't take long at all and there wasn't a trace left. Rub in the direction of the grain of the wood.

If the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser doesn't work (great product, by the way) then give WD40 a shot. It works great with things like crayon. Good luck!

Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It works for everything I've tried.

Hair spray, but it will take off the finish, that can't be avoided.
