It will grow back, don't worry. My daughter had the same thing-not a FULL head of hair like an adults, but she had a lot of hair. It was gone by two months. She's six months now, and it's growing back very well! I think it will be a full thick head of hair by a year.
For cradle cap, wash her hair with a bit of head and shoulders twice a week. My daughter had bad cradle cap, and the RN at the hospital recommended it, and it was gone after two washes.

It's just something that happens, theres nothing you can do about it, just wait. It will grow back and chances are it may come back a different color. My son was born with a head full of black hair..it looked like he was wearing a black stocking cap..lol!And had blue/gray eyes. When he was about 4 months old he had hardly any hair....he looked like one of those old balding men who comb there hair back, and you can totally see right through there hair. At about 6-7 months his hair turned light blonde and eyes were dark brown. By 2 years his hair was a dirty dishwater blonde and still is at 4 years old.I'm the one with dark hair and his dad has dirty blonde hair. Your daughters hair could change colors more than a few times while she's growing up...guess it depends on the hair color of you and her father, and what your hair colors were as a child.

It is completely natural, and normal, for babies born with full heads of hair to lose most or all of it in the first few months. Your little girl will grow it all back soon enough on her own. Soon she will have that admired head of hair and then some. Congrats on the baby!

changing which way the baby lays her head when she is laid down can help . also i have seen with a friend whose baby sat in a carseat or his swing ALL day ,his hair rubbed off and it also made his head oddly shaped . so limiting time she is in a car seat or swing helps too .
at 3 months of age tummy time is good . i would stay close to her so she dont fall asleep on her tummy . give her some toys with in a few inches of her so she can start to reach for them .
it is pretty much a definate all babies will rub off some of their hair , but those can help prevent it a little .
as far as stimulating her hair to grow . it is not advisable to use anything or hair products , it is best to let nature do what it will . hair products are harsh on a baby and can be dangerous .
good luck

It is normal for babies to lose the hair they had when they were born. They spend so much time laying down and their hair is usually so fine that it just falls off. It will grow back in time and usually a different color that they had. My oldest was born with black hair and now its blond. My youngest had red hair when he was born and now it is blond as well. Not to worry it will grow back.

This is absolutely normal and the hair will grow back eventually. There is nothing you can or should do to prevent further hair loss or stimulate hair growth. Just a tincture of time and a large dose of patience will cure this.

Most babys from new born to about a year lose a majority of their hair, just remeber that the babys' scalp is thin and so the hair is not rooted well right now.

brush her hair with a hard brush not one of the flimsy ones. Almost more of an adult brush. It will stimulate the hair and grow in faster, my daughters hair did the same thing! Brush all the time! Breakfast lunch and dinner time is what I did. I also let her play with the brush (she's 1 year old now) because she brushes it herself now too so it must feel good! Good luck!

I don't know, but I know my cousin was born with a head full of dark hair. It all fell out and she became blonde. She is still a natural blonde today at 18. I don't think there is much you can do about this.
