No! It's hard to choose the best answer and some we didn't have sometimes the time to pick the best one. And we are letting the voters to pick the best answer because it always happen that we receive too many good answers. There are even questions that aren't so important to have a best answer. So watch what are you saying because there will be a day when you will not choose a best answer at time.

Though you have a point in what you say, I dont agree with the penalty you want to impose. Answers at times are so routine and common place that one hesitates to choose any one as the best. Then why to penalise ? You will agree that every one has his own standard of excellence /expectations and he/she always looks for a suitable thoughtful answer to the question asked. In my view, yahoo answer is all for drawing a pool of experienced / sensible people to brain storm on a particular issue to help the person asking the question . Do you agree ?

I think that some people come here randomly ask a question, get an answer, and then forget about voting which was best, and etc... Thats why they let users vote on a best answer. I don't think the points are that important to most people, it is just fun to come here to answer/ask questions.

Heh I always wonder why people who say "10 points to whoever gets this first" and then they never pick the answer. Just hope that some one picks your best answer when it goes into voting.

Ididn't pick a best answer to one of my questions because I was unable to get on line for a few days... things aren't always black and white. Give people the benefit of the doubt .

Seems to me that they are just wasting others' time. I think the whole space ought to be reserved for people asking serious questions, and the crap should be deleted and the people who are posting it asked to leave. Some of the questions are nuts. And the language/grammar/spelling is atrocious. Is this really how poorly people write?

so basically you are answering for points how selfish is that what is it with people these days they will only help others out if they get something in return if you don't like the format of the this web site then don't use it you should feel good knowing that you have helped somebody out and anything else you get is a bonus
