Montreal Canadiens. They were quiet during the trade deadline but they made some key moves after that. They're set for good in a long long time signing key players like Sergei Samsonov, Huet and others to long term contracts and keeping David Aebischer for a year for insurance policy. They'd go deep in the playoffs this year.

The Canucks. Just getting Luongo alone means after decades of searching and false gods (that's you Glen "The Franchise" Hanlon), finally finally the team has a REAL world-class goalie (apologies to King Richard and Capt. Kirk).

P.S. Yotes fan...we loved Jovo's passion but wait till he pulls those brutal giveaways in his own zone. He was absolutely awful vs. Minny in playoffs in '04. He is a high risk guy.

Toronto in my opinion has made key moves in going forward with the franchise.. they have stabilized their blue line added a Calder winning goalie and signed arguably the best two way player in the game if the kids can step it up a notch this team is bound for glory..

The Bruins would have to be first picking up Zdeno Chara and Marc Savard.

Personaly I would say the Ducks came in second after they picked up Chris Pronger. They also mad other changes on there coaching staff and offensive lines though.

I'd say the most interesting will be the Boston Bruins with Marc Savard and Zdeno Chara.

Keeping team in tact, adding three roll players to fortify the two other lines.

toronto maple leafs! i was suprised....solidified their defence, signed Peca, a new young goalie. Young players like Wellwood, Bell Harrison. also avoided signing players that might get injured like belfour and lindros
