Not that I think it, but how do I know all of you people are not just like robots and have no process of thought? You just find out things automatically. Sorry if I confused you, it is kind of hard to explain.

In more detail: I mean, how do I know that you actually are like thinking? Not that you are made up of switches, wires, etc.

Nice question! I understand your point of view: we live in a increasingly demential and frenetic world, where we almost dont have time to truly socialize with our neighbours, collegues at work and so on. Well, in fact we seem to be just an insignificant piece of a big computer game which we dont control!

To be sure that u are not the only one with rational thoughts, we must go beyond the superficiality of daily life and watch what people do in emotional situations. Robots don´t cry and don´t have imagination, in a unpredictable situation its response will not be acceptable....

You can neither prove nor disprove that somebody else is conscious and thinking. By the same token, you can't prove that you are thinking to anyone else.

The observations we make of others either convince us that they act in a manner consistent with being self-conscious, or they do not. We have only those observations to work with. However, since many people can think of things that you do not know or understand, you can take that as strong evidence that they are capable of rational thought.

The fact that I am answering this question in this way, and that you probably did not think of it this way, is also evidence that I have thought about this in a way you have not. Consider the following and when you understand it, you will know that I am not just a mechanism or some software: most numbers have more than eight million digits.

Because many individuals have been through tests to study thought patterns in comparison with others by means of viewing synapses in thought patterns. You are not "special",you are built the same way billions of other people are physically, therefore you operate the same.In fact we aren't much different from other animals. Here's a website that will explain everything better than I can.Have the patience to read and understand what is in this site and you will have many answers to questions about who you are and why you think In the manner that you do.I AM NOT A ROBOT,LOL.You will find yourself just try to look http://www.med.harvard.edu/AANLIB/home.html.

First you'd have to state your theory better, and then come up with a list of tests that would gather evidence and data one way or the other. But you also have to use them on yourself...

Ultimately you can't prove directly that anyone else has consciousness other than you. But how can you prove to someone else that YOU have consciousness and they don't? Also, how would it change anything whether or not you proved it either way, if people still act exactly the same either way? So the entire line of reasoning doesn't really go anywhere.

Everyone has their own thought process. However, when we are raised we are raised with the beliefs of our families and then gradually we have others impact our lives and how we make decisions, think, and act. Ex. church, friends, school, media... Then we develop our own ideas and thoughts about things. Some of us would just rather go along with the crowd so they don't feel.... different or weird. Because everyone else is doing the cool thing, so if they go their own way they feel its not what is popular so it must be wrong. See what i'm sayin. your not the only one with logical thoughts.

people can think, robots can think - gets you nowhere.

listen to something funny or emotional and laugh or cry. that is what robots cant do.

or drink something and go to pee, or drink alcohol and talk nonsense.
yes thinking of a robot shouldnt be affected by alcohol even if the robot was able to drink it!!!

Impossible. Goes back to Rene Decartes "I think, therefore, I am." Outside of that, nothing could be proven about others. And Decartes' logic has loopholes in it since he makes a bold assumption about his ability to think rationally. If we decline to accept his premise, it leaves a empty hole about our lives.

You can check for doors under our skin for something like a fuse box. If we are not waterproof then we would blow a fuse when water got on us, bzzzt!
