I like proving neo-con rantings wrong with facts. I am not insulting when doing it, so as to hold the moral high ground.

Case in point, look at the difference between the conservative and liberal responses to this question. Liberals are supportive and conservatives are throwing insults.

Well, the fact of the matter is that not ALL of you are intelligent and thoughtful people. Some liberals/Democrats are hateful, spiteful, and do nothing besides deride those who believe differently. Do some conservative/Republicans do the same thing? YES!
I'm a mostly kind, considerate, compassionate person...but sometimes I give into anger. Some of these questions from people towards your end of the spectrum are awful, and solve nothing. If you don't believe me, look at my Q&A. I've answered many of them, and most of them I've answered without anger. Mostly disappointment. I'd like to think that ALL humans should be able to back up all their opinions with facts, and still be respectful about it, without bashing the opposition.
I'm a moderate, with conservative leanings, and I get insulted all the time for my beliefs. I've been told that I'm an "idiot", because I don't think abortion is right (unless the mother-to-be's life is at stake, or in cases of rape), and I don't think that, for the sake of national unity, that same-sex unions should be called marriage. I've also been told I'm ignorant, because I demand that when a person posts a "question", which is actually a statement, that they back it up with facts. Preferably with links to their sources.
Is that being an "idiot", or being "narrow-minded" or ignorant?
I know I'm rambling, but it annoys me too, from BOTH sides. I've called out plenty of conservatives/Republicans on here for being nasty.
I feel there's no excuse for it. We as humans should be able to agree to disagree.

I agree with you. I think Liberals need to show who they truly are.

It seems that all they do is criticize plans of action without proposing an alternative. And when asked how we should handle things they dodge the question with answers like; "we need a comprehensive solution" "we need to enact a solution the UN would approve" without ever suggesting WHAT that might be.

When a Liberal DOES stand up for an ideal, the dissent arises in their own party. (yes, the dems) For example: when Hillary Clinton said that we should not set a deadline in Iraq, and should not cut and run, she was met with mixed reaction. Just look whats going on with Howard Dean right now.

I think if anything the true Liberal is calculating. Their plan of action seems to be to shut their mouths and look down their noses at everyone without putting their own opinions on the line. Because thats the safe spot for them. "Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

The downside to them holding their tongues is that it hurts America in the meantime. Most important, It does not promote useful debate... and a real exchange of ideas leads to real progress. Right now the only thing stuck on their brains is
"Bush is bad" - how productive is that?

So c'mon Libs. Show us who you truely are. Or else we'll need to wait until the 08 Primaries to hear the Democrats lay down their ideas, and then they will be ciriticized by eachother. The party will once again be split, and healthy debate will once again arise.

PS: want to do something else to help your cause?
When someone is against affirmative action it doesnt make them a racist. When someone is against gay marriage it does not make them a homophobe. etc... It would be convenient if it were true, but its not. And if Liberals can't even grasp the concept of how someone could be against AA without being a racist (etc...), it only exposes a deep weakness in Liberal intellect. If they can grasp the concept and still throw around hateful names, it exposes a deep weakness in Liberal character and maturity.

I agree that that are many intelligent liberals, unfortunately it is the not so intelligent that answer the questions.....what I mean by this, is that so often they look at blogs, which is nothing but opinions, and take it as fact.....if the Libs would find the site that prove their argument, the conservativews would ahve a harder time refuting the fact.....we can all think the way we want, but when the fact is presented....the thoughts are always much closer to each others, than so separated

LOL!!! You're thinking of liberals of the past! The modern day liberal lacks the ability to think and form opinions on their own. To answer the question though; it's because modern day liberals are all about trend and no real individual thought. There are no free thinkers left in the U.S. Don't allow yourself to be stereotyped with any political group or the applicable agendas thereof. As far as Republicans and Democrats; (LOL) I won't even go there...

People who are hard right seem to spew hatred and fall for the twisted truths (and indeed lies) that they are fed by some media sources and there's nothing you can do to change their views. There are however a lot of right leaning people on the fence and just need to keep hearing the truth that will hopefully one day see the light. So you are exactly right in your thinking, you can answer the outrageous questions honestly without having to resort to spewing hatred for those with a different opinion.

As a Republican, I can say this. Liberals seem to be so anti-Bush, that they miss the bigger picture. They want to make sure that people know how strongly they feel against Bush, so they start ranting and can't stop. Great question.

because truly your nature is too do the opposite. No matter how good your intention is....it's always a lib who will cast the first stone ....i.e.-scream, name calling, try to undermine, berate, belittle & ect.

You'll be okay when the majority of liberals finally figure out that communism in any form , does not work and never will.

Some ask why, I ask why not, this is a place to just get it off of your chest. So I do and I have been doing it since January and never get tired of mouthing off to Conservative, most of them are to mentally deficient to understand their world around them anyway. Oh by the way, do not take this sight too seriously as it is not scientific no really is it intelligent.

I think the reason you allow yourself to be baited is that you react on emotion instead of logic. And if you are wrong or backed into an corner you curse, or belittle rather than admitting wrong or searching for another solution.

The emotional tie to your cause will cause you to "take the bait" everytime.
