Cable is about to be obsolete, satellite dish, direct tv is in, cable doesn't offer enough programs without having to pay an arm and leg for it

Yep. The quality is more consistent than satellite, since weather doesn't generally affect it. And there is less equipment to install and buy.
Still, I'm am waiting anxsiously for IPTV, which will be full satellite or cable quality, over DSL!

Yes, I have comcast digital. I am excited that Verizon is being allowed to offer its cable services in this area (although not in MY area yet). It'll give some competition and hopefully lower the price.

No, I dont have cable.. or satalite.. or anything of that sort. I dont even get local channels. We watch movies when we want to veg out in front of the tube and use the internet to catch up on current events.
