Yes, I would ask my sister to stay with the family business. In the corporate world,she would be just another "spoke in the wheel" so to speak. Not only would she have a tougher time proving herself in job performance,but would also face the "Glass Ceiling" limiting her abilty to rise in position to executive level no matter how smart she is.

Perhaps she should take the corporate offer and get some real-world experience before joining the family firm.

It can be very useful for family members to work outside the family business for awhile in order to gain fresh perspective on business solutions.
