Ok this is gonna be a 2 parter...First as we all know suicide is the Intentional act of taking your life right? Well obviously shooting yourself in the head is Suicide but is it also suicide if you poison yourself over a period of time and it ultimately leads do your death? Also what Does it say in the bible about suicide?

The bible say that suicide is wrong...because apparently life is a gift from god..and yes taking poison to kill urself over a period of time is still killing urself cuz u know its gonna eventually kill you.

Fast suicide vs. slow suicide.
There is also suicide by cop, to where you commit suicide, but you set it up that someone else does the dirty work.
The bible does not specifically state that suicide is eternal damnation, Is nibbles around the edges on that one.
1 Corinthians 6:20 is what they use.
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
The Bible does address seven instances of suicide, but more that so-and-so did it.

I agree that putting a gun to your head, as well as systematically using alcohol and drugs are both acts of suicide. I'm not sure exactly what the Bible says about suicide...I'm sure it dosn't condone it. This human life is a very precious gift, as one can use it to transcend the pitfalls of material life; namely, birth, death, disease and old age. The human intellect has the capability of understanding real spiritual knowledge, to understand why we are suffering, and how we can stop it. If we chose to end that by suicide, we are the greatest of fools. And if one should think by killing oneself, that they will end their suffering, they are very very mistaken. All they are doing is prolonging it, and making it all worse. Plus the suffering they are causing to those who are left behind they are going to have to deal with. Suicide is also the most selfish and cowardly act a person can commit. One may think it takes courage to put a gun to their head and pull the trigger, but it takes even more courage to not do that, and to go inside oneself and finally realize that they are powerless and then surrender to the knowledge that we all have in our hearts. Use your human intellect to raise your consciousness...not to figure out ways to do yourself in. You can't imagine the regret you'll experience if you kill yourself..talk about being in hell. Think...hard, take the high road. It does get easier. Just some of my insights on the subject....

The answer to your 1st question is yes that is still suicide. I believe the Bible does not endorse suicide, I think it is a sin to take your own life.

I would say that slow poison (alcohol, nicotine, smack, etc.) is suicide beacause the user KNOWS that this can lead to his/her death. Unfortunately, addiction overrides the reasoning part of the brain and users tell themselves 'it won't happen to me'. It does. I can't condemn someone who is addicted but I do condemn those who start using, knowing the results.
I can't remember anything in the bible about suicide but I haven't read it cover to cover.

Well in the Bible it says that the lord does not agree with people that commit suicide its an act of cowardliness that you can't face you re problems.Yet if you know anyone that is thinking or talking about that please help them or encourage them to seek help.Have a nice day and god bless

Young dude, just trust me on this- if you think day in and day out about helping society, like 100 times a day and imagine that society is so nice that it deserves helping then things will be great.
*All* of the world's greats wanted to help society; it can only be good to want to do the same. Think of everyone who ever smiled at you or did anything.

i think if you take poison over a period of time, you'll get really sick but depending on the amount, you may not die. and ive never read any part of the bible in my life so i wouldnt be able to answer that question...you should ask the jesus freaks in the religion section of yahoo answers.
