That is your problem, the true definition cannot be found in a dictionary. It is in your mind. The right to think say and do whatever you want without damaging the rights of others is a democracy. The right to be free to be stupid or smart as long as you do not step on your neighbors rights is a democracy. The right to believe in any or no religion as long as you do not trample on others rights to have religion or not is a democracy. It is not perfect, but, it is ours to keep. We elect our Representatives in Government and boot them out when they fail to represent us. I am sure you cannot find that in any dictionary. A Democracy is Ever changing as the people it serves feels it needs to change. I welcome you to try it sometime , or if you have , enjoy it and don't be afraid of it.
