While I sympathize, the Lebanese people are getting killed and hurt, the real enemy is Hezbollah. I don't call all Arabs terrorists. Iran and Syria should not have any type nuclear weapons. I don't think they should have nuclear power, the risk of them using radioactive material for dirty bomb is too great. Israel has pulled back from occupied lands, and where does that get them. More attacks. They need a buffer between them and Muslim countries, until the leaders of those countries can be trusted. It's Hamas that doesn't want the coexistence of Palestine and Israel.
But you are right, disarm Hezbollah first and then that would be real progress.

Not everyone thinks Muslims are terrorist. We do however get a little concerned when we don't see any outrage to their actions. I think its obvious why we don't allow nuts to have nuclear bombs. Why don't we give razor blades to babies? Sir, I like what you are trying to accomplish. How about we start get getting Hezbollah to leave Israel alone. I'm not too keen on the money portion of your plan that would have to be a two way street. But if you have peace, then your country can rebuild. You will also have more credibility in the world court of opinion.

If you or anyone could actually disarm Hezbollah and prevent any future attacks from Lebanon into Israel, then you would have peace faster then you could imagine.
I am sure, you would receive monetary aid from many sources and Lebanon could continue on its track to being a prosperous free country.
BUT until you can disband Hezbollah (and the like) your words are meaningless. Less talk and more action I say. Lebanon wants this to end? Have them ask the US for a military force to come in and wipe out Hezbollah (since you are not capable of doing it yourself)/
You must understand (if you are who you say you are) that the ONLY reason any building is left standing in Lebanon currently is because you have shown hope that you can be a peaceful neighbor to Israel, and that without Hezbollah causing trouble you might even get to friendly relations with Israel.
It is time for Lebanon to choose, will they support Hezbollah (and therefore Iran and Syria) or will they support freedom and peace.
It is your move, but time is running out.

How can anyone disagree with your statements?
My children have Lebanese and Palestinian blood, as well as others.
Your appeals may very well be justified, but I don't think this is the sounding board that will have much affect.
You should know from the majority of questions and answers that most of the people here are teenagers or not much older.
Children here, for the most part, hold only the opinions expressed by their parents. They have not yet acquired the ability to analyze and think for themselves. Not all, but most.
As for my opinions, based on my old age, I have lived prior and through the establishment of Israel since 1948.
It was the United Nations that proclaimed this. I admit that I have no remembrance of any Arab countries participating in that decision. Bear in mind that WW II had just ended in 1945, only 3 years prior. The wounds of war were still fresh in the minds of all those in the UN, as well as the plight of Jewish people.
I think we know that war with Israel has been going on ever since.
I firmly believe that the average person in the US has never known all the facts surrounding their conflicts. This is available to anyone who wants to research, but, most information is only gleaned from politicians in our political parties and parsed in order to further personal political gains.
Unless every world leader is willing to use common sense and sit down at a table, across from each other, eye to eye, and be willing to discuss common interests and compromise for the concern of the common man, with respect for one another, respect for international borders, and realize that no one can survive indefinitely with war.
You mention nuclear bombs. Bear in mind that the Japanese know full well it's destructive powers. But I think it worth mentioning that President Truman stayed awake for more than 30 hours, garnering all the information and statistical projections of casualties, not only the projected US casualties in the already planned invasion of Japan at 500,000 troops, but untold casualties of Japanese civilians and soldiers. Realize that Japan was ready to fight to the death.
With that knowledge of nuclear power, the US and other countries signed the Non Proliferation Agreement. We now know the reason. One need only observe the current threats.
Good luck, in your endeavors.

First, the attacks are not against Lebanon....they are against Hezbollah....and if your word was good, I am sure that the Israelis would be happy to stop attacking....oh yeah,m they want thier kidnapped soldiers back also.....htere was a peace treaty in effect......and Hezbollah broke it.....and there is no fight with Lebanon.....the Israelites and Lebanese have no fight, unless they get into it....it is Hezbollah....and there is no jealousy....Israel has a much better tourism count.....again, it is because of Hezbollah.....get the facts straight

i don't be attentive to any Lebanese-American so i can't answer you for one hundred% specific, yet i could say definite on account that's the reality with Egyptian-American. They continually overlook what their language, faith and nationality is. ok, no longer all, yet many do. case in point, up-to while i exchange into 6 years previous, we used to stay in Europe, even with the undeniable fact that as quickly as I grew to alter into 6, my father introduced me decrease back to Egypt to benefit the language and faith, and not lose my identity. I owe him lots for doing this

OK! You have a deal! We need one stipulation.
You first disarm Hezbollah, put the terrorists in jail, and surrender the weapons.
We'll cut you a check that following day. GOOD LUCK!

You just don't get it do you? The Jews just want to be left alone, but you people are just obsessed with them. They pulled out of Gaza, they pulled out of Lebanon 6 years ago and what thanks do they get? They get attacked by terrorists who have been allowed free reign by the Lebanese government. Hello? Are you blind?
Oh, wait, of course you're blind. Blinded by hatred.

The UN and the Lebanese government were supposed to keep HezBULLie from stockpiling more than 10,000 rockets. They failed to do so. Now it's too late for them to complain that they are in the line of fire.
Israel is trying to protect itself from HezBULLie. The UN and Lebanon has shown they can't or won't.
