Snape's mom is supposed to have tolerated an abusive marriage with a muggle inspite of being a possibly slytherin pureblood and a competent witch(seeing that Snape's excellent).why do you think it was so?in the sixth book the half blood prince's potions book was 50 years old .it was eileen prince's.but wasn't that the time voldemort was at hogwarts too?do you think he is Snape's dad?

that means even though eileen was married to a muggle Severus wasn't fathered by him!

Interesting idea. However, if Snape was Voldemort's child, he could have opened the passage way to the chamber of secrets. Instead it took a phantom of Tom Riddle working through Ginny to do it.

I don't think that Voldemort is Snape's father, not because I think that it's impossible for nonmarried people to concieve, but because I think that Voldemort's sole concern was his power. If he did father a child, would he have allowed him/her to be raised in the presence of a Muggle? Seeing as he felt that Muggles and Muggleborns were foul and not worthy of life, I highly doubt he would have stood for it. I think that sadly Eileen Prince's downfall was simply love. She loved a foul man and as so many real life women, allowed the abuse to continue unabated. Love and duty cause even the most intelligent women to do the least understandable things.

That's pretty clever! Voldemort is Snape's dad! I like it so much!

Even, if Voldemort was Snape's father, they both would keep half-blood and Snape would never be pure-blood.

The Blood-Purity Laws in Harry Potter world are very strict. Once you have a muggle blood in your family line, then, you're half-blood.

Harry's father and mother were wizards, though Harry is a half-blood, that's because his mother was a muggle-born.
The same to Voldemort (and his supposed children). His father was a muggle, and that makes him and his children half-blood till they manage to hide their family history.

And for Rowling, she's strict too, and there's no way that she could have bustards in her series. Add to that, Voldemort is very ambitious, and don't think to have any human feeling. I believe!

Voldemort isn't a muggle, but it's definately an interesting theory.

Edit:

I suppose that's possible. I think it's a stretch though. Still, I have always wondered what was so important about Snape's past that there's book named after him, ya know?

snape's dad cannot be voldemort because voldemort was not married. also, if u look carefully, eileen prince married a muggle named something snape. so there.

chronologically - it would be possible I guess, but I don't think that snape is voldemort's son. it's hard to imagine that voldemort had any kind of relationship with women, but that's just my opinion

The solution is obvious, snape is NOT pureblood as he claims
just as Voldermort is not pureblood

very interesting. pretty cool that u came up with that. but to find out if all these theories are true or not we'll just have to wait till the seventh book comes out.
