Ok say for example Firefox and Internet explorer both try and view my homepage on my website. Is there a code of some sort so that ONLY Internet Explorer gets redirected to another page, not Firefox?

and I'm not running a comercial website; I'm running a personal one, so SE rankning doesn't really matter to me.

Sounds like you're running a commercial web site. You should be aware that redirecting visitors is frowned on by the search engines. If your S.E. ranking is important to you, there are better ways that don't skirt the edges of allowed behaviors
