Homework is designed for a few things, and it is almost never a good idea to not do it. It is usually designed to present ideas you will cover the next day, so failing to do it means you will not know what is happening in class. Either that, or it may be used to reinforce a major issue. Either way, it is worth doing, and not doing it could hurt your grade, even if you understand everything.

Dear Hima,
As a retired school teacher, I can assure you that time spent on homework is not wasted time at all.It will not only make you a better student but also prepares you for university or college. If you have aspirations to attend one of these institutions you will find that there is a lot more work to do on your own than you think and your homework skills will help you a great deal. You will have plenty of reading to do when you attend university or college so don't get discouraged on the homework you have to do.You must have found out that high school is not the same as elementary school and there's always more to learn. Good luck in your studies and in whatever profession you choose.Study hard and you can be anything you want to be. Bro. Isidore

The homework assignments in this course are extremely important for two reasons. First and most obviously, they are worth 30% of your grade, making them the single most important component of your overall grade in this course. Second, the homework assignments will prepare you for the exams. To understand this second point, you first need an understanding of the nature of the exams in this course.

Do your homework!! ^_^

Who is it that you are hurting the most by not doing your homework? Is it the teacher? no Is it your parents? no - its yourself and your own future - so you decide for yourself if its better to do your homework - its your choice not anybody Else's - no one can MAKE you do your homework - you're in tenth grade now and you have the choice and the consequences that come if you don't. Make the wise choices now and you will reap the benefits later on.

I heard that most of the smart kids do their homework in class if possible. Sometimes teachers give the homework assignment during class and they work on it during lecture.

Doing your homework is being prepared. In school when your teachers ask questions you will be able to answer his/her question with a little confidence. In life when in a meeting, questions will arise that need answers. If you did your homework and are prepared with some input you will be rewarded with self satifaction for doing your part. Who knows you may even be promoted.

Better is a vague word.

If you want to understand what you are taught quicker, and more completely, then do your homework, it is better.

If you want to throw your life away then moving to a lifestyle of drugs and debauchery is the faster path, and homework is not helpful and is less better.

What sort of dreams and goals do you have for life? How do you intend to reach them? Answers to those questions will give a better definition of better.

Of course it is. All education that you receives is for YOUR benefit, including the homework. It's just an extension of the day's work from school. Why do you not want to do it? Do you want to grow up dumb?
