He had gotten a 300,000 offer to settle but his attorney turned it down because he thought they could get more. And I did find out that my daughter is considered next of kin. Guess I will need an attorney. Because I feel why should the company benifit from his death and not my daughter. does anyone know for sure?

listen up get in touch with probate court in your county call the coroner office get death certificate it will not how he died if u are the ex wife whom ever is their representative or has guardianship (custody ) can get lot of the detail surrounding his death (cause of it ) then get a good lawyer

It depends on the nature of the case, if he is dead you may no longer have a claim. You really need to speak to your ex-husband's lawyer.
