This can become a huge problem if your childs head doesnt even up, it can actually cause the skull to disform during growth which is called plagiocephaly and will require lots of therapy and also a helmet that will have to be custom made to correct his/her head shape.

What you can do its constantly change positions and if sleeping in a carseat you might want to use recieving blankets ect and put them on the side he/she favors the most to avoid sleeping on that side of the head, You can also try to keep off the head for a while by trying tummy exercises or sitting up with you on the couch with him/her this will also help with the neck muscles.

If your worried about reflux and he.she is on a milk based formula, breastmilk you might want to try switching to a soy based, it will help with major reflux problems (all of my children are Lactose Intolerant and had to be switched around this time because of the reflux could cause damage.

I hope that was helpful to you :)

I knew of a child with the same problem. He always had his head tilted to one side. His other symptoms were clumsiness and poor hand eye coordination. His mother thought it was a neck problem but it turned out to be an eye muscle, not a neck muscle. He would tilt his head to even his vision, this was the only way he could see well enough to walk and play. Try taking him in to an eye specialist. I believe the problem was corrected surgically by shortening one of the four muscle that are attached to the eye.

The condition is called congenital torticollis. Usually physical therapy (which involves excercises to do with your baby) helps. it is important to treat this...the longer you wait, the harder it is to treat and in some cases it wont ever even out completely. Though most cases, it resolves by itself. You should bring your child to a physical therapist. Chiropractors who specialize with infants may also be of help.

My son had those bumps too and my son has a red blotch on that back of his neck too. I was told that this is called a storke bit and it is normal with babies.

Take him to a chiropractor or a massage therapist who does cranial sacral therapy on kids. Either one should be able to help.

Hold him on a different side each time you feed him. If you are breastfeeding, make sure you are alternating breasts.

Sorry that your baby has this problem but these are questions that you should be talking to the doctor about.
