Because just prior to the slow time everyone is rushing to beat the traffic, but in doing so actually create the traffic.

Because the term is not meant to be traffic is "rushing" - meaning "fast"... rather it is meant that everyone is rushing at the "same time" to get someplace. Thus, by logical thinking, if everyone is rushing at the same time the traffice will be the slowest.

YOu have mad a very good point. It is definetly rush hour because everyone at that moment is rushing at the same time to get wherever, causing things to slow down. Ironic, isn't it?

even though its called rush hour, doesnt mean its actually about the cars driving faster at that time

it basically indicates that it is the time that the greatest %age of the population is heading (rushing) home although it is bizarre that noone actually manages to rush as they are stuck in traffic

Because, that's the time everyone is "rushing" to get home, that's what causes all the traffic.

because of the fact for the period of that factor, anybody is dashing to their artwork or college places, and quickly site visitors builds up because of the fact of too many automobiles on a undeniable highway, or a motor vehicle twist of destiny happens and the site visitors slows down.

I don't know. Maybe it's because everyone is super annoyed, so they try to rush even more than usual....ok, that was lame.....but it's a hard stinkin' question!!
