he was on workmans comp due to an injury offshore. He had 2 surgeries on his knee and they were in the middle of a settlement. I called his attorney to see if my daughter can finish the settlement and he told me his death was not caused by the injury...No! Any way of knowing cause the attorney won't talk to me.

That is strange for the attorney not to talk to you.Did you find out what's going on from your daughter?Did you do an autopsy?I would only want to hear that his death was not caused by the injury by the medical examiner.I think that's a little fishy if you ask me.I went through that with my mom and put my sister in charge and she said the lawyers threw out my mothers case.I'm trying to contact the lawyers because I know she's my sister but i question it.It's was an ongoing case for 2 years now.I say hire a private investigator or get your own lawyer and find out.Start asking some questions. For him not to talk to you about it ok but whats going on with your daughter? How old is she? What does she have to say about all of this?Good luck and sorry about her father.

See if your lawyer can consult the coroner? Or see if you can find a police report that documents the occurance and present that with past evidence of his health or medical documentation to support your theory.
