This is a big issue that is underreported in today's media, so thanks for asking! Since amphibians can live on land or water, they need ot wait an hour before SWITCHING environments. In this day and age of rushed meals and second -hand parenting, the message si ssimply not getting out there, and more and more young amphibians are "speed switching": eating and then switching environments. This transition gives them a little rush, as they become disoriented and ill. While death is not common, more and more young amphibians are pushing the envelope, some waiting as few as five minutes before going onland, or in the water! How long can it be before these misguided youth start cross eating, eating part of the meal in water, part on land, thus meaning they must wait an hour before being on land OR water! What then? Wake up Amphibian America and save your tadpoles before this problem becomes an epic struggle!
