I normally use Google Earth to answer questions like this one. In this case, it tells me that Kuwait is about 750 miles from Beruit. You have to travel the entire length of Syria and Iraq to get to it.

Beirut is in Lebanon in the north west area of the middle east. Kuwait is south east of Iraq. To get to Kuwait from Beirut, you have to go south east (through Jordan or Syria into Iraq then arriving in Kuwait).

Kuwait is situated on the west coast of the Persian Gulf, immediately south of Iraq.
Beirut is on the Mediterranean just north of Israel and south of Syria
