This woman gives me the impression that she is like a fish out of water. She lacks the gravitas for the position she holds. Jobs should be given to be who merit them not because they are a token black or a woman. I suppoosed Bush wanted to kill two Birds with one stone.

Tokoloshimani, Don't wish to argue but that was the line the SS took whilst gassing Jews. Don't like the task, don't do the Job. For those who say she is fluent in Russia, Tough, I am fluent in Swahili, maybe I can now go and run British Foreign affairs in Africa.

Condi, I don't believe was chosen because she is a "Token". She was chosen simply because she would kiss Bush's *** no matter how wrong his policies are. For real, if there had be a democratic congress, she'd be in jail! When she came on my TV and said we would be smothering in mustard gas as a reason for attacking Iraq, she became one of the "Boys". She's just like Bush in the way that she cannot or will not admit she was wrong.

Actually the woman is as qualified as anyone comes (man or woman). I hate Affirmative action and think a person needs to be hired on the merits of their qualifications and job skills - not because of race or sex. In other words - Affirmative Action is a Bigoted program.

Condi is one tough lady. She's a lady and she's not a push over. She would make a great President - HOWEVER - excuse me for saying so, I don't believe a woman should be president. Non the less if we must have one - let it NOT BE Hillary Clinton.

Hillary is a push over! Look at how well Bill played her and they are still together and he's still playing her. Nope - I want a president that is not such a wiener.

She was brought in because she was an supposed expert on Russia and the Cold War. She never knew a thing about the Middle East. That's why way back when she got the presidential daily brief saying Bin Laden was determined to strike in the US, she did nothing about it. In a sense, affirmative action paved the way for 9/11.

I often feel like the dissenting conservative when it comes to Rice. She is an intelligent woman, and capable in her own way, but I don't think she's right for the job of Secretary of State. She parrots too much what Bush tells her, and I honestly don't know what her own thoughts and feelings on issues are. I was saddened when Colin Powell bowed out, he was a man I have a deep respect for.

so which you're asserting Condi Rice is merely too stupid to get into Stanford on her very own advantage? And Colin Powell could no longer are turning out to be into the USMA on his very own advantage? on account that's what profiting from Affirmative action ability.

I don't know if tokenism is the reason she was appointed, however I do know she is a Bush supporter so that can't make her to smart. I think Bush supporters have to be the most mentally diminished of the populace as they are following the worst president that I have ever seen and I go back as far as Ike.

That is what you people on the left don't understand. We Conservatives DO NOT believe in Affirmative Action. We believe in promoting based on hard work, talent, and skill. Rice earned her B.A. in political science and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Denver. In 1975, she obtained her Master's Degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame. In 1981, at the age of 26, she received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Graduate School of International Studies at Denver. Now this begs the question, how much alphabet soup do you have after your name?

Not that I agree with her politics, but Condi Rice is very smart. I believe she was a professor at Stanford and is fluent in Russian.
