Actually the color varies from person to person and also is affected by what is going on within the person spiritually.

Simply put seven chakra and seven colors.
Root chakra - red
Hara Chakra- orange
Solar Plexus- Yellow
Heart Chakra- Green
Throat Chakra- Blue
Third eye chakra- Indigo
Crown Chakra- Violet (although some traditions say it is colorless or white)

In Hinduism and in some related Asian cultures, a chakra is thought to be a nexus of metaphysical and/or biophysical energy residing in the human body. The New Age movement, and to some degree the distinctly different New Thought movement, have also adopted and elaborated on this theory.
