Some do. Most of what you see here is posturing. Public image and all that. But many of the GOP supporters are just folks who have a difference of opinion. Some day we will meet in the middle and get this nation back on track. It is only a matter of time.

I believe he really is concerned about defeating terrorism. For too many years the western world has only marginally fought against it, with most of the time relying on a policy of pacifying terrorists. I know on some occasions the U.S. has bombed some training camps, or leveled a Presidential Palace, but none of those incidences solved any problems. If anything, they only fueled the terrorist organizations to hate us more. Bush is trying to exterminate them from the planet. I don't think he is only fighting this battle to make personal financial gains. There are thousands of ways to make money where only the consumer gets screwed, not U.S. soldiers. Take the present Israeli/Hezbollah conflict. He has sent Rice over to tell Israel to keep collateral damage to a minimum, but at the same time show support for their cause. They are not fighting the Lebanese government or its citizens, but a terrorist organization and the people who aid it. Bush understands that with Hezbollah gone, there will be one less terrorist organization on Earth. If Israel were to stop now, or if the U.S. were to intervene with a stronger hand, the fighting would only temporarily stop, but Hezbollah would live to fight another day. Hezbollah leaders have stated that they did not expect this kind of response. They believed Israel would react like they always do and give in to demands for a prisoner exchange. They were sorely mistaken. They have instead discovered that Israel is no longer in the market for temporary solutions to a never ending problem. Bush is right in wanting to rid the world of terrorism. No one likes war, but there can be no peace as long as people in the world live only for the destruction of the way of life many westerners take for granted. We can not just turn a blind eye to the reality of the world. People want us dead. Either we take the fight to them, or they will most definitely bring the fight to us. I say, let them die!

Not with me, to be sure, but then I can't say that I'm impressed with the democrats' performance either. I'm at the point where I cringe when I hear any politician speak these days because their actions prove that their motivation is self serving, not serving the public.

Yesterday's speech by Blair and Bush were a perfect example.

Well he did get elected twice. And his doctorin is passing through the hill. The people are finaly recovering from the opression of the Clinton years and the country is recovering slowly from the mass histeria that the Demacratic Congress caused with the Free thinkers in the country.
And I am not afraid of losing any of my Constitutional rights with the Republicans in power.

As long as there are haters in this country, as long as the Fascist News Network (Fox) continues to be the Ministry of Hate (Orwell), as long as there are those that listen to Bush Limbaugh, as long as there are those who use God to promote racism and indifference of others. . . . . . . . yeah, Bush is still credible
