First you should learn to read and write...how did you get through grade school being illiterate?

Study how a cable elevator works.Elevators have a car(that is what you ride in) a pulley and a counterweight.
You could build the elevator shaft out of a cardboard box,use a pencil through a thread spool for the pulley,a steel can for the elevator car ,heavy string and some bolt washers for the counterweight.Use the magnet on the other side of the box to move the can-car up and down.
You can make a simple demonstration on how an elevator works

Generally a scientific experiment would involve asking a question (or "hypothesis") and deriving a set of experiments to determine what the answer to your question is. For instance, you may ask "Is it feasible to power an elevator with magnets?"

I would then design some sort of "proof of concept" example to determine whether or not it is in fact possible.

To my knowledge nobody has gotten this particular idea to work (though don't be discouraged, many of the greatest ideas have come from science fairs...like rocket fuel for instance. See the book "Rocket Boys" for inspiration if you need it) And even if the answer is determined to be "no" we all could still learn something from what you try.

I think its a great and ambitious idea, and you should definitely kep working on it. Don't let detractors get you down there may in fact be something very positive behind your idea

That is just common sense my man. Just think that there is a string the holds the two magnets together but in opposite directions then get a small box as an elevator and attatch it to the top magnet. Then build a frame and a pulley for the string. Hope you understand.

If your study becomes a project into possible uses of natural forces as an alternate energy source. Using magnetic force to move or propel objects is an excellent way to cut back on the use of fossil fuels. You may include other possible natural energy sources like wind or tidal forces and how we could harness them.

Could you perhaps try different strengths of magnets and turn it into a gravity project? Sounds pretty cool, mr. engineer, and don't let them tell you it's not science.

Its as it is a science project.
Magnet & their effects, elevators are all science parts, inventions . Isn't it.
dont worry be happy go ahead.
god bless U
