Look under the hood and see if there is a master cylinder for the clutch, and if it is full of fluid. Whether the clutch is hydraulic or mechanical, you can have someone press the pedal and see if the arm moves. If the clutch needs replacement, it could cost $1000 or more.

Call the Dealer and get a price then work your way down to a decent shop that you think you can trsut for a lower price, they will prob use the same parts but dealers charge a higher labor rate. Good Luck.

the clutch itself is under $100. the labor charges are thru the roof.
