Not sure what you are asking. Pope John Paul II died last year. Like Elvis, some claim he is still alive, but incapacitated. There is no support for those claims, some people simply cannot let go They are supported in their claims by conspiracy theorists, who get audiences by interviewing guests with outrageous claims.
Pope Benedict XVI was chosen to replace him. Pope Benedict XVI was formerly Cardinal Ratzinger, who led the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
Cardinal Ratzinger was very close to JPII, and is a very respected author and theologian. He is a bit more traditionalist than JPII, but don't expect Vatican II to be reversed.

he died last year of old age I believe. He had taken a stroke then his health deteriated and he passed away. The new pope is Pope Benedict, a german who was supposedly in the hitler youth.
