Some questions call for factual answers, while others ask opinions. Then there are the enigmatic questions that are so very obscure that one answers them with another question... "what the heck did you mean?" In some cases a question might be asked to try to work out exactly why many people behave in an illogical way. If someone logical answered that, it wouldn't be much help.

I would like to see tougher guidelines for questions and answers though, to make sure they actually make sense.

Personally, I don't really care about points...I don't even understand what they mean or represent. Anyway..."people tell me thoughts they cannot defend..." anyone know where that comes from? We all really love the sound of our voices, or in this case, the nonsense in our minds. Our egos are an amazing phenomena...they have us convinced we actually know things. Yes, it's vanity, or just having fun. I have fun mostly.

Actually, I like the fact that so many people are answering the questions, even if they don't know the "correct" answer. It helps everybody to see the subject from different perspectives. Why we answer even if we don't know? Loneliness, helpfulness, vanity, boredom, excitement...

In some cases I'm afraid, the less people know, the louder they know it at you.

Bored...self important....lonely...racking up points...self amusing...

Or...as I've previously said...you get to answer someone in any way you like...including not so nicely...it's like being able to punch your brother or sister and not get punished....sometimes it's just too hard to resist.
