I am behind a firewall and that doesn't allow me to work on any p2p softwares. Everytime i configure and run any p2p software, the firewall blocks it and doesn't allow me to connect to any hub or server. I have a permanent internet connection. So can someone please tell me how can i make the p2p softwares run on my computer.

Use your home PC as a surrogate to log into remotely and run the P2P software. Then transfer files to your college PC.

I've heard of using a proxy to get around that. I don't know exactly what that entails but you have to configure your p2p program to use them. There are websites out there that list proxy servers.
