It depends on your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, go under the Tools menu to Internet Options and click on Clear History in the bottom section of the General tab (the first one that comes up). If not, consult your browser's Help files. May God bless and keep you.

CCleaner - CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less that a second to run) - Taken from their website. It's compatible with all Windows OS's. We use it regularly and have had NO problems whatsoever with it. It does its job.

In your internet explorer, you click "tools , internet options, clear history" to clear search history
Try to clear the history in the "search bar"
"double click the blank space (where you input your search stuff)"
you notice you will see the list of the words, phrases in the bar
just move your "down" key to highlight, press "delete" to delete each of them one by one.

How do I delete my search history?
Your Google search history can be deleted from the Google Toolbar, from the Google search box, and from your browser. Instructions for each of these instances appear below:
CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE TOOLBAR HISTORY
To clear your search history from the drop-down text box in Google Toolbar 3.0 and Google Toolbar for Firefox:
1. Click on the Google logo to access the drop-down menu.
2. Select the "Clear Search History" option. This will clear all the previous searches from the drop-down box.
If you'd like to completely disable your Toolbar's search history in Internet Explorer, please click on the "Options" button directly on your Toolbar and un-check the box next to "Drop-down search history."
If you have Google Toolbar 4.0 installed, you can clear your Toolbar's search history by starting to enter a search term in your Toolbar's search box. When your drop-down search history appears, simply click the "Clear History" link.
If you'd like to completely disable your search history in Toolbar 4.0, please follow these steps:
1. Click the "Settings" button on your Toolbar.
2. Select "Options" from the drop-down menu.
3. From the "Features" tab, click the "Search Box Settings" button.
4. Un-check the box next to "Suggest from your own search history."
5. Click "OK."
Please note that this only clears the search history from the Google Toolbar, which is entirely separate from the search history stored by your browser.
CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE SEARCH BOX HISTORY
The search history that displays in the search box on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. To disable this feature on Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) versions 5.0 and higher:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Internet Options."
3. Select the "Content" tab.
4. Within the "Personal Information" area, select "AutoComplete."
5. Click on "Clear Forms." You can also uncheck the "Forms" box in this same window to keep this information from being stored in the future.
Alternatively, you can delete individual entries from your search history by using the Down arrow key to select a previous search, then pressing the Delete key once an unwanted search is highlighted.
To disable this feature in Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and higher:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "Saved Form Information."
3. Click "Clear" and un-check the box.
4. Click "OK" to exit.
CLEARING YOUR BROWSER HISTORY
To clear your history from Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Internet Options."
3. Click the "General" tab.
4. Click the "Clear History" button. To completely disable the history function, set "Days to keep pages in history" to zero.
To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "History."
3. Click on "Clear." To completely disable the history function, set "Remember visited pages for the last X days" to zero ("0").
4. Click "OK" to exit.
