No beep codes? Your motherboard is done. Have it repaired maybe they can still save it. Check your cpu speaker first, maybe it's just not plugged in but I doubt it because your computer is not booting.

Check the cmos memory battery on the motherboard. It may need replacing. You should get an error code beep from the BIOS instead of the single beep you got when it was working ok. There are trouble shooting PC boards that you plug into your PCI bus to read the error codes from the BIOS and interpret them for you.

Sorry dude, I agree with chico. If you fire up your motherboard and there is no beep code, effectively your mobo is shot to hell. No beep code = no life in the cpu. Even if the memory is buggered it should still beep a coupla times...

Dismember it for any spare parts, hard disk drive, speakers, etc, and then chuck it out onto the nearest garbage barge...

The same thing happenned with me day before yesterday!
An engineer came plugged a cord which was missing its place.

Also you can press F2 key to enter setup, then press F10 key to restore and save default system setings. Then start the PC at night to see if it works.

Probably one of two things: either your motherboard is blown (fairly complex and expensive repair) or the power supply is shot. (reasonably inexpensive repair)

Does it make any noise at all, i.e. does the fan come on? Do any LEDs light up? If so, it's probably the motherboard and not the power supply. If it's COMPLETELY dead, it's most likely the power supply.

Try changing the 3V cell that you can find on the motherboard. You will have to set your computer's clock and password(if you have one) after changing the cell.

Not sure what you're saying here. Is it another computer? You might have a disk in the floppy?
