I gained 36 lbs when I was pregnant. I was 15 lbs lighter when I got home from the hospital. I nursed my daughter for 12 months. By the time she was 6 months old I weighed 6 more pounds than I did before I was pregnant. She's 13 months old now and I'm the same weight. I was 108 lbs when I got pregnant and 114 now so it's not a big deal.

It depends on how much of your weight was baby and how much was just fat weight. If you use formula you will find that your body will not be able to burn off the exess as fast or efficently as breast feedings. Another factor towards it will be your pre pregnancy metabolism, body type etc. I have a petite/slim body type with a high metabolism so I burned the extra weight off fairly well whereas my sister is the opposite and is heavier now than before. Not allowing your body to recover between babies makes it worse as well. The only other way to get rid of the weight is to exercise and work out as soon as you can. But build up your training otherwise you will just cause yourself pain.

I gained 30 lbs. during pregnancy. I breastfed the baby on demand and had lost all the weight by month 4. I think that having a newborn to carry all over the house for hours every day had a lot to do with the weight-loss! My biceps look better than they have in a long time...

I gained 52 pounds during my pregnancy (I went from 133 to 185!!) I breast fed for 3 weeks and then went to formula - my son is now 9 months old and I finally fit into my pre-prgnancy clothes. I'm still not back to my pre-prenancy weight ( off by 3 or 4 pounds). But i don't care anymore. I love the way I look - even though my figure is no as fit as it wa before. It's not normal to look the way you did before, I don't even think it's possible!! lol

I would never want to get back to my pre pregnancy weight.....when I got pregnant I looked like the walking dead....I weighed 92 lbs....no I didn't have a eating disorder or anything like that.....just at the time I smoked pot 24/7 and drank heavily....the day I had my son I weighed 199.....and my son wasn't that big....he only weighed 6 lbs...I just ate and ate and ate....that was 12 years ago....I now weigh 120 lbs....feel comfortable at this weight....if I gain a few pounds I can't really tell.....nope didn't breast feed.....tried but unfortunately my son would never latch on so I did the formula thing

yeah, i actually lost all the baby weight and then some, in 6 weeks. when i went to my check up 2 weeks after giving birth, i had lost half of the weight i had gained. then 4 weeks later, i had lost the other half and then some. i guess i can thank breastfeeding for that. i had heard that breastfeeding helped with the weight loss, so that's all i did. up until now, i have only breastfed my baby boy who is 4 1/2 months old, and many people can't believe i was pregnant!!!

oh yeah, and i had no help from any type of exercises or any workout methods...

I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight. My daughter is six-months-old. I have been nursing her with no formula supplementing. Started her on solids at 4 months, but otherwise, all breastfed. I gained 40 lbs with my pregnancy.

I breast feed for only a month. With my pregnancy i gained in total 27lbs. I immediately lost 17lbs without even trying. I keep shifting with the last 10lbs. But i started to do a little bit of workouts with my son and the little bit I've done seems to be working. But since I've been on birth control it's harder to lose weight. It seemed like i was losing the last 10lbs then i started the pill and i felt like i gained weight. I guess I'll just keep working on it.
