This is the sort of undefined question we would expect 'tou khaerou,' But, maybe it means, since it's about joy, that you are moving towards being 'taes kharas' instead.

For whatever reason, ever since I started reading Greek mythology in 6th grade, I've been fascinated by it. I think it is partly the magic of it, the intrigue of a different all-powerful god or goddess for each aspect of life, how people are turned into spiders and deer and stars. I like the fact that there are goddesses, even though Greece was a misogynistic society. I like how the gods have human characteristics and flaws, which makes them easier to relate to. I like the justice in the tales, how usually the criminals are punished and the good prevail. I like the adventure of it. I've always liked fairy tales as well, and that probably had a hand in it.

Thats a good question but it has always fascinated me too. I guess it is the fact that when they could not explain something they would say "oh well the gods must be crazy" or something. Greek culture and mythology is the first western culture. Fascinated by the Greeks. Not sure why. They made up some really good stories and their heros were awesome.

I prefer Egyptian Mythology, but Greek is good, too. Celtic has a strong draw as well.

I guess it is the magic of the stories. When you are a kid, you believe that there has to be magic in the world. But then you grow older and the belief starts to fade. The greek stories sort of put that back into ones life. It's sort of like Impressionist paintings. They are the way we wish and think life should be.

There is not a better cure for our souls than reading the Greek mythology. The way the gods and heroes resemble to us ,human beings, is unique. One story meets the other and they start making sense and you get trapped in a sweet journey .. Read Homer, read Hesiod, read anything and come along the journey..
