Take him to do the things he loves. Watch his favourite movie, with popcorn and a whole bunch of ice cream. Give him hugs...tell him jokes.. make sure you smile, because smiling is contagious.

Find out what does make him happy, and/or will make him laugh and go out of your way if you have to, to make it work.. If he is honestly a goodfriend, you shouldnt have any probs doing so, even if it takes work.. Sorry to hear that your friend is down and I hope you get him to cheer up.. Good Luck to you!
