I just read a question that said she was beaten by her husband and dont know what to do. that she got out of hospital and husband doesnt work.
if he dont work and she just got out of hospital after having an operation, how do they get money to pay for computer to use to post this question???
how many of these questions about abuse or kids being hurt are actually true?? how do you believe, when they say there is no money--no one working, do they get a computer???

Ah, the question that is really on evryones mind. The most asked question is "Is this really a woman i'm talking to?" the internet is a great mask for all to wear. You can be anyone or say anything you want, and we are all at the mercy of our own beliefs. I could be a surgeon that has taken a quick time out to answer your questions, or a drifter who stopped into a library for something to do. I might be a female, i might be a male. I might have a gazzillion dollars at my disposal, i might have to eat this mouse to survive. You have to just be cautious, and never give out personal info to anyone that could use that info for thier own personal gain. But, be careful for when you doubt someone might be reaching out, and you make that known to the person, that just might be the point they give up thinking noone believes tyhem. Answer the question with sincerity, and don't be foolish and give out your personal info, but be compassionate and give the advice that you believe can help. If someone writes about suicide, then I take that seriously because sometimes, when someone writes about it, they are thinking about it, and if you think about it, then you have mulled the possibility over. In a perfect world, when a writer says what is going on, it is true, but in the real world, everything is to be cautiously approached, but not to be discarded as untrue. I wish all could be honest, but that would be like asking to stop the violence in the middle east.

Most of the time they are lying and they are trying to get money from people. They are scams. Its a little crazy for someone to get online and tell their story to strangers, especially to ask for money. They are all scams and I think they all need to be sent to prison for the rest of their lives.

There are many ways they can get money from the gov't, but if they are trying to get money from strangers on the internet, then they are definitely lying con-artists. I get at least a dozen of these types of emails and requests per day, and normally I just ignore them. They are the same scammers that scammed our government out of money by pretending they lost everything from Hurricane Katrina, when in fact they didnt.

Can't say all questions are true, but the use of a computer is free at local libraries all over the USA and probably other countries.
