i would like to know if yoga really works

No, Yoga is just for achieving peace of mind/body. It doesn't help you to lose weight unless you're eating right and working out.

You have to figure, with yoga you're not doing anything to get your heartrate up. You're just sitting/standing there, sometimes stretching. That won't work to burn any calories or help you lose weight. Yoga is great to get into if you're wanting to achieve peace and relaxation, but to lose weight, it's not your best bet. Combine yoga with a healthy diet and exercise plan and you'll be all set.

Yoga a been proved by science that it is useful in solving many problems including obesity.

By doing yoga regularly we can loose weight, we can solve heart problems, it helps us in making us fit and fine. Yoga is not only connects with body of a person but it can affact the mind and soul of a person.


We can feel relax, we can increase our memory. Many doctors also do yoga and suggest their patient to do yoga. It can make people mentally and psycally fit.

In todays world yoga is popular in whole world including america, britain, india, china and many more county.

Yes it will. You can use it as a supplement to a cardio program. Or you can adapt a program that will stand on its own.

There is a dvd..."Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss." But like anything else, you have to stay disciplined and DO IT.

By the way, as you can tell, not a Yoga purist. They will have more "balanced" answers for you. but here is the link to the dvd on amazon. good luck,

i don't think that yoga will reduce your weight
take my advice
my father is a 48 year old man he walks daily on the morning.on the beginning he was 77 kg now he was reduced to 70 kg so walk daily for 20 minutes

yes all people do yoga for less weight
but we have to do yoga every day for our health

It is a group of streching excercises...

You may have to do aerobics combined with strength training to lose weight..
