Mix up a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts distilled water. This will clean even smudges of other things besides fingerprints and is safe to use.

I just asked this question yesterday in Best Buy. On a plasma or LCD (?) screen they recommend NOT using Windex. It ruins the screen.

Def NOT Windex - it will strip & damage your screen. Endust makes wipes for electronic products. I use them on my flat panel monitor & TV.
