The whole world is well aware that it was Pakistan and its scientist/metallurgist AQKhan (who stole the drawings of Nuclear installations while he was in Holland) are directly responsible for Korea and Iran's present day nuclear capabilities. Pakistan boasts of its missiles named after Afghan invaders such as Babar, Ghouri and Ghazni etc. (Why only Afghan and none Pakistani is never answered by Pakistan). These are all of Korean origin.(originally Chinese). There are at the mercy of US. When US had left the scene after Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan they had no resources and in 1999 just before Musharraf usurped power it was about to be declared bankrupt failed state. So however much they might boast of their economic development the realities on ground are known to intelligent observers and analysts all over the world. Us has its own compulsions to prop up this dictatorial regime as they need help to round up Alqaeda. Musharraf is a clever leader and he knows the day he delivers that would be the end of American aid. Hence he is playing his own game of keeping the Americans happy and expectant by offering some terrorists once in a while as the pressure mounts. Whether or not He already has Osama Bin Laden in his pocket is a million dollar question which only time will solve!
