No, not a problem at all honey. I use music to pick me up when I'm down, and a number of songs bear resemblance to what has happened in my life.

Listening to music or song is is listening to some one else's feelings, resemblance can be sheer coincidence or it can either be that both of you have gone through the same situation, all you need to do is , if it is good try to take it , if is bad or if it something that is hurting you , you should knoe that you there is already someone that has gone through these problems so try to overcome it

ABSOLUTELY NOT. WORDS IN SONGS ARE WRITTEN BY PEOPLE HAVING THESE EXPERIENCES, SHARING THEM WITH OTHERS, AND HOPING SOMEONE ELSE CAN RELATE TO IT. IT IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF SONGWRITING. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALOT OF TOUGH TIMES, AND GOOD TIMES IN MY LIFE AND ALOT OF MUSIC SAYS THINGS ABOUT THOSE EXPERIENCES WAY BETTER THAN I COULD EVER SAY THEM. SOMETIMES THEY SAY THINGS THAT I NEVER GAVE ANY THOUGHT TO, AND IT OPENS UP A WHOLE NEW ASPECT ON THE ISSUE/EXPERIENCE. IT IS A WONDERFUL PART OF BEING HUMAN, AND GROWING, JUST LIKE WE SHOULD. SO KEEP LISTENING, AND KEEP GROWING.

You think there's any lonely teenager that heard the verse "There's a club if you'ld like to go, and meet somebody who will really love you/ So you go and you stand on your own and you leave on your own/And you go home and you cry and you want to die" and didn't think it was about their life? I think that's why emo music is popular amongst teenagers because it (was) about going through a tough time, which most teenagers do. There's no rules against it.

It all depends if you're listening accurately. I mean, with a lot of song lyrics it's not that easy to make them out. You could be identifying with something that, one day you'll find out was talking about something entirely different!

That is the whole point of a song isn't it? Songwriters want the buying public to relate to the song in order that they may buy more, so... no - it is the right thing to do!

Of course it's not wrong. Music and words are art. Art imitates life, makes it more bearable. Enjoy, relate and learn.
