I have heard that a mobile battery should be charged for 15 hours for the first time to get it's full back-up.Is it true?

Until it's fully charged according to the charge indicator on the display. Leaving it connected to the charger will not do anything, either good or bad.

Its not important how long you charge it, should be a full charge. It is important to let it run all the way to empty before you recharge.

works best if you leave it going overnight, make sure its completely full before you take it off charge, and only put it on charge when its completely empty otherwise the battery will go crap
