YES.... all letters are scams.
The Gov. needs to do something, they rip off the elderly, poor, and everyone else. I know... I've been scammed.
Right now a 'vacation website' has access to my bank account.
I had canceled 30 minutes after I received their 'booklet'.
Yet they continue to withdraw money using different company names. They are from Fargo Ga.
I think I'm going to take a vacation there soon.

Make sure that there's no fine print stating "if your number is the one picked" or something to that effect.
Many years ago a neighbor who didn't read English brought one of those letters to me to translate for her - she understood the big print, not the fine print.
You NEVER have to buy anything from them...
Basically you have to return the paper so that they know you're in the running, and so that they can send you more.
Though, to be honest, I've never seen one with a phone number...

make the call, but if they start asking for bank account numbers or personal information, or if they try to sell you something, HANG UP!
By the way, did you enter the PCH Sweepstakes? If you didn't, don't even bother picking up the phone.

I'd say it's 99.9% a scam. The question is does it worth bothering just because of those 0.1% chance it isn't.
