Since withdrawing from the world stage, from a military standpoint, would constitute surrender.....is it time to withdraw foreign aid from the derelict countries of the world and redirect it toward domestic issues?

Surrender to whom? Militarily, the US should get out of other countries, and i fully support Germanies efforts to evict American Bases.

Please, return to your own isolation, give us all a chance to rebuild after 40 years of American Intervention in places they were never welcomed

AUBRY
You pretty much did. I understandthe contribution you guys made, every British kid does, but statements like 'We Won World War 2' are just bloody rubbish and belittle everything the European Allies did before you even bothered to show up..and again, only after you got attacked by Japan

Yes I agree with Thomas P, lets get out of Germany. The cold war is over and we are not needed there anymore. Besides the our presence in Germany is a significant benefit to the German economy and they don't deserve it.

I think a new large base point should be built in Iraq, this is an area where our troops are likely to be needed for decades to come (not so much for Iraq but places like Syria and Iran).

The bulk of western Europe is more of an adversary then ally, since they are trying to fight each to be the European Union leader. And the sole purpose behind the forming of the European Union was to make a large enough economic body that it could compete with America.

Meanwhile they slowly degrade with most of them under one form of socialism or another, the unemployment rates are double digits in many places and taxes are going through the roof. Many people are starting to leave these countries to escape the high taxes.

Hmmm...Let's review a bit of European history. Since the time of the Roman Empire, the peoples of Europe had been involved in one war after another, pretty much like the middle east today. Europe even managed to drag the entire world into their little spats twice. After getting suck into European aggression twice, the USA decided to keep a large armed force smack dab in the middle of the continent. Gee. Guess what. You guys haven't had a world war since. No thanks are needed. The fact that no Americans have died in a European war since is thanks enough for us.

We feel the same. The South African Goverment spent more money on travel expences last year than they did on trying to help the poor. Over 1 BillionEU has been stolen, that was donated for aids prevention. South Anfrican Goverment spent more money on goverment perks than on poor childrens education.
