It's not only Illegal, It's HIGHLY Illegal to even ask for your own password!

Legally No one can help you.
It is YOUR responsibility to remember your password.
This is also an illegal question, It is against Federal law to solicit information for the purpose of acquiring a password. (even your own, because we have know way of knowing if it is really yours) Giving out this information over the net, and not in person is also a violation of the Law.

Ask the user. Be ready to explain why they should let you read their e-mail.

Any other method is quite likely to be a violation of one or more laws.
(and in fact, I haven't examined the GMail Terms of Service closely, it may be illegal for you to get that password from the user too).
