If continents might desire to be considered to be islands then Africa might take the crown (After the Suez Canal grew to become into geared up). additionally, it quite is a controversy that because of the fact Australia is interior the continent of Oceania which incorporates international locations like New Zealand and Tuvalu, it quite is an island usa making it the worlds' best island. So it may arguably be concluded that Australia is the worlds' best island-usa and Greenland is the biggest island.

Greenland is the biggest island.

You cannot consider continents like Australia and Antarctica as islands because if you do, you also have to consider that Eurasia is also technically an island as is much bigger than Australia and Antarctica combined. Africa is larger, too. Therefore, it is silly to consider continents as islands.

There are a couple answers.
1) Antarctica. If you think about it, it fits the definition of island.
2) Australia.
3) Greenland.

Since all the so-called continents are also islands
the answer is obviously Eurasia. Once the six
(not seven) continents, including Australia, are
eliminated the largest land mass considered an
island is Greenland. The list of the 10 largest
islands given by someone else appears to be
correct. I haven't checked it.
