Hate to mention this to you but he not only won the election, but did it based on his ability to wage war on terrorists. Might not be what you want but it sure is what I want him to do

While I see the validity of your question, there is one issue with your logic. During the Vietnam War, our politicians were weak, and gave into the will of the majority of the nation. Because stoned college kids protesting was in the headlines every day, they are the ones who were listened to. As a result, three million perished in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. FDR listened to the will of the people regarding WWII (until Pearl Harbor was attacked), and 6 million died. ALL of the presidents before the current one, since Carter, have listened to the majority, and 9/11 happened as a result. Look how many times terrorists attacked us during the Carter, Reagan, Bush 1 and Clinton admin-istrations, and yet we did nothing. Look how many people Hussein was killing (nearly two million), and his aggressive nature, and how many times he violated the peace treaty he signed at the end of the Gulf War.
It's by inaction that our nation has failed, not by action. This is what should be taken into account. This is why I don't blame the president for "ignoring the will" of his nation. It's not the will of the entire nation, BTW. Many of us remember Vietnam from a different angle, or have relatives who remember. Some of us know people who remember WWII. Many of us remember the Gulf War clearly, and have been following politics and the growing turmoil in the Middle East for years.
I admire a president who listens to the soldiers on the ground (most of which believe that we should be there, and stay there until we're done, even though they miss their families, and yes, they are scared.), instead of living-room commentators. He is listening to the people who matter: The soldiers, and the Iraqis.
It doesn't matter what you or I, or anyone else thinks. Nor should it, unless we're there.

What is the will of the nation? If you are talking about the lack of will of some Americans to put up a fight and look at the world with a realist view of the international political arena, then W would have to give up, put his head in the sand and only wear tie dye. Now, what you get out of democratic nations is security and maturity where as dictatorships like Iran, Syria, and formerly Iraq, and North Korea threaten their neighbors and the U.S. and cannot behave. The will of most people in America is to punish terrorists and prevent them from attacking US soil and interests ever again. Iraq prevented them from aquiring whatever weapons were left in Saddam's aresenal post Gulf War and using them against us. Also, Iraq had tons of symbolism and gave a strong message to Iran not to **** with The US since we were on their western and eastern border. Iraq will take time but will succeed, AQ will be defeated there, and rogue regimes will fall by the will of their own people like in The Ukraine and Lebanon.

Well, south Africa's president is in the middle east trying to promote peace in the region, while his own goverment is stealling money and allowing criminals to run the country. Over 5000 babies(0-18months age) are raped a month because black men believe if you rape a baby it will cure your aids. They also believe if you eat a white child you will live for ever. Did you know 5% of Aids donations from America and EU actually reach the people, the rest (In its Billions) is stolen by South African Polotitions, they same people who the world felt sorry for 5 yrs ago..... they are the evil and death of a beuatiful South Africa.

That is actually a very good question. I follow politics very closely and research topics myself from numerous sources instead of listening to CNN or FOX News to tell me what to think. While I do not agree with President Bush on everything (illegal immigration for example) I can tell you that he ALWAYS has more information than we do (as do all Presidents). This does not mean he makes the right decision, just that what the country thinks we want isn't necessarily the best choice and it is the President's job to try to make the best choice and not listen to opinion polls.

That's the fine art of Flim Flamming!

The Flim Flam Men :

They make speeches about they must have taxes, and every politician knows what is being done in Alaska. Alaska Pays all their residents with earth rights and doesn’t tax their residents. This makes the politicians liars!

They make speeches to get elected and make promises about what they will do for us. They say nothing about getting every dime of lobby money to do what big biz wants that’s opposite what they promised you they would do. That makes them cheats!

They stole your grandmother’s retirement money from SS. Now you face getting nothing for your SS payments. That makes them thieves!

They tax us, but they know the foreign companies pay no taxes on the goods they sell here. The goods are sold then bought on paper in a foreign port to skate the tax laws. Thus eliminating their profit on paper to cheat the US out of the taxes they owe. This makes them backstabbers!

They take lobby money to put earmarks and pork in every law that passes their desk. Then they do photo ops, a news clips to promote themselves as doing something good for us and America. So they corkscrew us!

They make back room deals and give our tax money to foreigners who build factories with our money. Then they write laws that send our jobs overseas. This makes them dirty dealers!

So lets total all this up. They lie, cheat, steal, backstab, corkscrew, and dirty deal. HELL their Flim Flam Men! Just like in the George C. Scott movie “ The Flim Flam Man”!
They are called the “ Honorable” Senator or Representative. Hell Flim Flam Men have NO honor what so ever! They’re crooks, criminals for God’s sake!

The BBC has film of ALL of them going in and out of Abramoff’s restaurant. That’s THE place in DC to get loaded with lobby money. The BBC has been running this story, and trying to get the US media to run it too. The US media refuses to run the story.

It’s time to take America back! Get registered! VOTE! Vote for anyone that’s not a Democrat or a Republican. They have ALL the power and ALL the control. They must bear ALL the responsibility for their gross mismanagement and abysmally poor judgment! It’s time to put THEM in the unemployment line!

We elected him. Those of us that elected him support him. Those of us that elected and support him comprise a larger percentage of ""THE NATION" than those of us that did not support him and voted for someone else. He is not opposing the will of the nation. He is conducting policy in opposition of the people you associate with and that gives you the mistaken perception that he is.
