I got this from the web - also when they talk about cranberry juice? It's not ocean spray, it's the kind you get at a health food store, and it's very strong, but a few shots of that a couple times a day and it will really help!!!
Thanks

Good foods to eat while going through bladder problems are celery, parsley, and watermeleon. You can purchase parsley juice or extract from a health food store or make it fresh from home. You should avoid citrus fruits, stay away from alchohol, caffeine, carbonated beverages, coffee, chocolate, refined or processed foods, and simple sugars. Chemicals in food, drugs, and impure water have an adverse effect on the bladder. Take 2 teasponfools of whey powder or 2 acidophilus tablets or capsules with each meal. This is important when you are on antibiotic therapy. If your external parts are sore, emu oil rubbed on the area will really help. KB formula from Nature's Way and SP-6 Cornsilk Blend from Solaray, are herbal formulas that have a diuretic effect and reduce bladder spasms (take 2 capsules 2 x per day). A lot of this stuff I use when I'm enduring IC episodes.

Blessings,
Kirstee

If you already have a UTI, then you need to get some antibiotics. No food will cure it.

Some foods are supposed to be good at preventing you from getting UTIs, such as cranberries and blueberries. They're highly acidic and the acid kills a lot of the bacteria on the way out the bladder.

cranberries (fresh, dried or juice) prevent bacteria from sticking and growing inside the urethra thereby reducing the likelihood of an UTI
