Yes! Drinking at least 8 ounces of water each waking hour will help hydrate your skin. Washing your face with warm water and mild soap, then rinsing with warm and then cold water will help. Make sure your sunscreen doesn't clog pores, also.

Salicylic acid treatments (aspirin) seem to control and get rid of my breakouts.

Drinking water helps A LOT! You should be drinking 8-10 cups a day, or 2 liters. It will help to flush out your system and remove toxins.

Also, it is important to have good habits concerning your skin. You can use a face wash (my boyfriend uses Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in One). Make sure that you wash your face in the morning, if you come home after sweating a lot (like playing basketball, soccer, etc.), and before you go to bed every night.

The combination of keeping your skin clean and drinking water should give you some great results. Just be sure to stick with it!

Good luck!

My son is 16 and has the same problem, I have bought him all kinds of over the counter meds. He is washing his face with the clearasil soap every morning and evening, then he is using Oxy 10 (cream) It is helping, but hasn't cleared up all the way yet. I heard from lots of people that proactive does work, but its expensive. I am going to get him some of that and try it.

My brother and I have had bad acne for years, and we drink TONS of water... bottles and bottles a day. For some people it does help, but for us our problem is just genetics. Drinking water does make you feel better though, so you might want to do it anyways even if it doesn't improve your skin.
