I just finished reading False Memory by Dean Koontz and have already read Midnight. I know he has written a ton of books, but are there any that anyone recommends?

Dragon Tears was a great book. I don't think I read a book by Dean Koontz that I didn't like. False Memory was my favorite!

Odd Thomas is my favorite Dean Koontz I think it may because it's written in the 1st person, which just gives it a personal fee. There's also a "sequel" called "Forever Odd".

His older books are also great reads. Check out 'The Door to December' (about a woman who finds her nine-year-old daughter who was abducted six years ago only to discover the child has been changed somehow) and 'The Eyes of Darkness' (my first Koontz book that left me totally addicted, this is a story of a mother who is convinced her dead son is trying to communicate with her).

Check his website or the bestseller lists for suggestions. If you want to be clever, try finding some of the books he wrote under pseudonyms back in the 60's or 70's. He's done his best to buy all the copyrights to keep them out of print, but there are still copies lying around used bookstores somewhere. His early science fiction, for which he was best known for a long time, is full of imagination, and heavily plotted. He used to write so many books that he was known as a "typewriter for hire."

I'd say he's certainly outgrown that nickname.

I've heard "Watchers" was about the best Dean Koontz book ever written. I haven't read it, but if you do, please tell me how it was. XD

Also, "Mr. Murder" was one of the best books I've ever written. I read it really quickly(it's only 480 pages) and I was full of tension every time I picked it up.

"The Voice of The Night" was also really amazing. ^.^;;

he writes multiple distinctive stuff--extraordinarily his in the previous books. a number of that's monsters, time shuttle, a lot of serial killer stuff and government conspiracies. My faves are: Strangers intensity Whispers Lightning the homestead of Thunder The unusual Thomas sequence (this is like the boy from The 6th experience grew up) The Christopher Snow sequence (concern no longer something and grab the evening) the coolest guy
