No because the dam republicans attached the bill to another bill cutting estate taxes for the wealthiest families. Democrats will not let that pass even though they wanted the wage increase. Republicans are trying to screw things up again.

The House just passed it. The decision know rests in the hands of President Bush unless of course the Senate does or did not pass a similar bill.

I can't believe the idiots who say this is bad for the economy-my A$$. My company posted record profit for the second quarter, the V.P. makes $5 million a year, while other people that work for the same company hover at the poverty line. Who's hurting the economy, Fat A$$ government personnel, CEO's, etc...or people who scratch to put food on their tables?

I hope not, the minimum wage destroys jobs and is just one more way that the government trays to control what we do with our money.

yes i think it will there is a big push to get these wages inacted so maybe they can get attention away from the larger living wage issue.
