They are OK,
if you want to know about the band,
Republic Of Loose are a Dublin based band led by Mick Pyro, brother of former Chicks guitarist Annie Tierney. They are influenced by numerous American music genres of the last century, often coming across as being unsure whether they want to be gangbangers or cowboys or gospel singers. Their sound has been described as sleazy-funky, and their debut 'This is the Tomb of the Juice' combines sexy, easi-fitting lounge, guitar groove and rap influences.
Their second album Aaagh! was released on April 7th 2006. It debuted at #2 on the Irish charts. Singles 'Comeback Girl', 'You Know It' and 'Shame' are typical of their genre straddling production style; sweet slices of sex-pop, with the innuendo-laden lyrics, smart guitar hooks and the loping drum sounds the band is becoming known for.
A recent American tour has brought a whole new audience to the band, with the latest single, a double A-Side featuring 'Break' and 'The Translation', receiving airplay stateside. 'Break' features ex Chicks singer Isabel Reyes Feeney on vocals.
The chant "Loose! Loose! Loose! Loose! Loose!" is commonly heard at their concerts.
